Multitude Monday- Columbia, SC Children's Photographer

So, I finally figured out where this whole Multitude Monday came from.  A few weeks ago, when I was in Atlanta, I borrowed a book from a friend.  The book is called One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp.  It is uh-mazing!  Well, I loved it and I think I read it at just the right time in my life.  Don't you love when that happens!?!  It is written very poetically and it took me a few pages to get into it, but it definitely grabbed a hold of me.
It's about learning to live life with a deep sense of gratitude, finding the ability to give thanks in ALL circumstances because no matter what life brings our way, as a Christian, I have been given the ultimate reason to be grateful and humble- Christ.  I could go on and on about it, but instead I will encourage you to read it : )
The author has a blog called A Holy Experience and in it she journals what she is giving thanks for.  She has such a way with words and describing things that we would normally overlook.

SO, today I am thankful for...
- books that inspire and encourage
- my husband on his hands and knees playing with our daughter
- being able to return the kindness of a meal to a friend who recently had a baby
- 16/17 baptisms that took place yesterday at Radius Church
- Emerson's mobility : )
- warm coffee in the morning when the house is still quiet
- my NC family was safe and sustained little damage from the hurricane

And here is what we have been up to this morning...  poor Sugar : )  Yes, those are torn up Pottery Barn magazines (one of Emerson's favorite things to play with).

In the one on the right, Sugar is about to make a run for it.

Then Emerson turned back around : )

Sadler Family - Columbia, SC Children's Photographer

I'm so excited about this session that I can hardly stand it!  But first, I have to give you some background on it.  So, Sara and I are actually from the same small town in central Florida.  We went to middle and high school together and when we were really young we took piano lessons from the same teacher.  Sara was much better than I was.  I thought she was so cool because she had the best haircut!  Funny, the things we remember from childhood : )

Well, she still has great hair and beautiful blue eyes that she has managed to pass down to her two sweet little girls.  But not only is her family gorgeous (I should add handsome for poor Josh- man is he living in a pink world : ) and sweet, but completely stylish as well making our session really fun to photograph.  I loved all of their outfits, accessories, and props that they brought along.

Josh, as I already said, is living in a world full of pink... and ponies... and tea time..., but he's not afraid to get right in the middle of it all if it means bringing a smile to his girl's faces.  It was so sweet to see how much they love their daddy.

Thanks Sara and fam for such a fun session!

Zabrocki Family Session- Columbia, SC Children's Photographer

This family session had my nerves tied up for a bit A- because it had been awhile since I had done a complete family session (normally I just do children or teens- not whole families) and B- because the mama in this group happens to be a fabulous local wedding photographer (check her out at www.azphotograph.com).

Amanda graciously swapped sessions with me- she did a maternity session for me back in Nov. I think (which I loved) and finally we were able to coordinate her family session.  Although I was nervous, I was also really excited about it because her two children are absolutely adorable and super sweet!  Amanda and her husband aren't too bad either : )

Amanda did the location scouting for us and found this incredible barn/pond/open field area... it was lacking nothing!  So, we had a great family, great location, and I think the images we got turned out pretty great as well... phew!

Thanks Amanda for swapping with me and for being so helpful since I've moved here!

I just had to add this one and the one below it.  The little man was cracking me up!  All he wanted to do was get down and crawl... can you see it on his face?

Gotta love those sweet cheeks!

This girl is just precious!

Jessica, Class of 2011- Columbia, SC Senior Photographer

Jessica and I met a few months ago during her Spring Break (wouldn't I just LOVE to have a Spring Break again) to do her senior portraits.  Jessica graduated this past May from Lancaster High School and I could tell she was really sad about it... or maybe she was so excited she could hardly contain herself : )

I loved her session and I think we got some great images!  Her outfits were to-die-for-cute and her red hair was just gorgeous paired with her sparkly green eyes.  She also brought along with her some books to incorporate into the session since one of her very favorite things to do is read, other than hang out with friends.  The first book I noticed out of her pile was Lauren Conrad's book.  I may or may not have been slightly addicted to Laguna Beach and The Hills : )

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the images!  Congratulations Jessica!

Clarissa & Laney, Class of 2012, Columbia, SC Senior Photographer

What can I say!?!  I LOVE these girls!  I know them from my Lancaster days : )  One night each week I had these girls, along with a few others, all over to the house for a "girls" night where we would talk, eat, encourage one another, eat, pray for one another, eat, have ridiculous amounts of fun, and... did I say eat?  I sure do miss being able to spend that kind of time with them.  It's hard to believe that these girls are seniors this year!  Where does the time go!?!

These two are actually cousins and aren't they just gorgeous! Oh the eyes!  At one point during our session, I was looking through the lens and the beautiful eyes on the other side made me exclaim, "holy moly melt me."  I suppose stranger things have been said, but we had a good laugh about it.

Enjoy the images!
